The Mirabel Practice is a counselling practice based in North Dorset. It is run and owned by Vikki Taylor, a qualified therapeutic counsellor, who offers one to one counselling both online and face to face.

I work with individuals, 18 years and above.
My counselling approach is to offer a safe, calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk through any issues that might be troubling you. Every situation is different and every person is different so I draw on different methods to work individually with each client I meet.
I work Integratively, which means I bring in various different theories and approaches to my work. I work predominantly from a Person-Centred approach with a particular focus on Attachment Theory and I have specialised training in Trauma.
I offer sessions of 50 minutes either face to face or online or a mixture of both. Each session costs £65. Before committing to your first session I ask each client that we have a 15 minute telephone or video call where we can meet each other and decide if we are able to work together. I also ask that each client, before we start our work together fills in a referral form with details such as: GP, emergency contact, family background, previous counselling experience and goals for our work together.

Since starting as a counsellor I have worked for the charity Sexual Trauma and Recovery Services (www.starsdorset.org.uk) and ACTS FAST (www.actsfast.org.uk) where I have supported primary victims and secondary victims of sexual harm. I have completed over 1000 hours of one to one counselling support sessions.
